IRS Granted us Not-for-Profit Status

After months of legal mumbo-jumbo and only one error, we got the official word today that we are a non-profit charity.  And, to be frank, we’re pretty gosh durn proud because we did it in under 6 months when the typical time frame is closer to twelve months.  It was clearly meant to be!

Released on the 13th, the Massachusetts Cultural Council announced that the senate has proposed a 57% CUT in its current funding to MCC.  This will be disastrous to the booming, enthusiastic and successful cultural life of the state.
