Seeking STAGE MANAGER for “Two-Headed” by Julie Jenson, directed by Becky Webber.
Candidate must have experience working within theatre, preferably as a stage manager, but we are willing to train the right person. Candidate must be organized, efficient, able to travel within the New England region, communicate well, be computer literate, and able to lift heavy objects (like wooden crates and boxes of props). Strong Candidates will also be self-motivated, problem-solvers, calm-under-pressure, and want to be part of a community of female artists.
“Two-Headed” is rehearsing now until we open the week of April 20. Rehearsals are primarily on alternating weekends in Greenfield, MA and Boston, MA. Some may be held in residential artist retreats elsewhere in New England. You must be available for most rehearsals in February and March and all rehearsals in April. “Two-Headed” will perform about 5 times throughout New England before landing at The Boston Center for the Arts for the final two weekends. It closes on May 20. We are offering a generous stipend.
Seeking SET DESIGNER, PROPS DESIGNER, and COSTUME DESIGNER for “Two-Headed” by Julie Jenson, directed by Becky Webber.
Set in 1850s Utah, candidate must be creative in the artistic and fiscal sense. This is a micro-budget touring production with the challenge of needing a hefty set piece that can still fit in the back of a couple of cars. Props are distinctly set within the period and also offer some interesting challenges…bear trap anyone? Strong candidates will have prior experience in their design field, be self-motivated, problem-solvers, and want to be part of a community of female artists.
Your work will be seen at several touring stops in New England including Brattleboro, VT and Northampton and will then land at The Boston Center for the Arts for the final two weeks of shows.
Please send a letter of interest and resume.
