Mary Dolan

Mary Dolan (Host of BOOBfest) is pleased as punch to be hosting tonight! Born in 1922, Mary grew up working the tail end of the vaudeville heyday, singing and dancing in various companies and circuits. These days, you can see Mary touring her particular brand of comedy and generally having a ball. Mary acts as resident host of Bent Wit Cabaret, every second Sunday at Oberon. Maureen Brennan

Maureen Brennan (excerpt from her musical revue, Sunrise, Sunset) has the distinction of being nominated for a Tony Award and winning a Theatre World Award for her professional debut–playing the role of Cunegonde in the acclaimed 1974 revival of Leonard Bernstein’s CANDIDE. She has since appeared on Broadway as Madeleine Manners in GOING UP, Tina in KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY, Goldie Gates in LITTLE JOHNNY JONES and STARDUST.  She toured nationally starring as Mabel in the New York Shakespeare Festival ’s production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and has appeared Off-Broadway in SHAKESPEARE’S CABARET.She has been a featured soloist with many renowned symphonies and pops orchestras as well as appearing at Carnegie Recital Hall. Maureen’s voice can be heard in many recent Disney film classics including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Ginger Lazarus

Ginger Lazarus (author of the short comedic play Lemonade) is an award-winning playwright whose work has been frequently produced in her native Boston and beyond. Her play Matter Familias received an IRNE nomination for Best New Play of 2004; other honors include the 1999 John Gassner Memorial Playwriting Award for MOCKBA: A Play About Moscow and selection as a ten-minute play finalist in the 2002 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for Shooting Sparks. Her plays have been copiously produced in the Boston area and have been featured nationally in Untitled Theater’s 24/7 Festival (New York), Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Theater Festival, Pan Theater Ten Minute Play Festival (San Francisco), Bloody Unicorn Theater Company’s Lesbian Shorts (Tucson), and the Last Frontier Theatre Conference Play Lab (Valdez, Alaska). Two of her short plays also appeared at the Warehouse Theatre and Canal Café Theatre in London. Ginger holds a master’s degree in playwriting from Boston University and teaches at the University of Massachusetts Boston and Emerson College. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Jen Alison Lewis

Jen Alison Lewis, (starring in Lemonade and co-Producing BOOBfest) is an actress, acting coach, director, administrator and Mom. She holds a BFA from NYU and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and StageSource. Acting credits include Kate in Taming of the Shrew; Living Out (Lyric Stage); many many new play readings (Boston Playwrights Theatre); voice-overs; commercials; and independent films. Directing jobs include Reindeer Monologues (Atlantis Playmakers) and In Bloom (SLAMBoston). She was an Office Associate at StageSource for four years and Associate Editor on The Source 2003-2004. Her biggest recent projects are Laura, 5, and Adam, 1.

Kelley Donovan

Kelley Donovan (Original Solo Dance) teaches modern dance at UMass Boston and holds open classes in Cambridge and Somerville and has performed work by Ann Carlson and Liz Lerman. Her work has been produced by World Music, Tufts, MIT, Mobius, Harvard, Salem State and The Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. Most recently she has shown work at Movement Research, The Merce Cunningham Studio, Joyce SoHo and the 92nd St. Y in New York City. Her work has received support from The Artist Foundation and the 92nd St. Y.  Kelley studied choreography with Mark Morris and Bessie Schönberg. Margaret Ann and Dorothy

Margaret Ann Brady and Dorothy Dwyer (excerpt from The Mrs. Potato Show) offended sensibilities in Boston, as well as around New England, New York and as far as Minneapolis, once. They have been a bit scarce of late but Margaret Ann will be scaring small children pretty soon as The Sea Witch in Wheelock Family Theatre’s upcoming The Little Mermaid, and Dorothy does stand-up comedy at the occasional benefit or tiny Chinese restaurant. They both have also recently surfaced at times as part of ImprovBoston’s Alumni Troupe.
